DKCISSP REPORT

Discord will allow search engines to index discussions in Discoverable Servers and make them accessible on the web to users outside the platform without an account or invitation.

The goal is to surface useful information to the wider internet community instead of keeping it buried in Discord conversations; the changes apply only to Discoverable Servers, publicly listed communities with at least 1,000 members.

If admins and users leave the settings at their defaults, their content will automatically be included in the new sharing scheme; the Blue Report 2026 measures defenses technique by technique across 338 million simulations run in customer production environments.

The platform says it hosts about 63,000 such servers, and this decision excludes private servers, direct messages between users, and group announcements on servers that don’t meet the requirements.

Channel administrators can choose to exclude individual channels or turn off all channel content sharing entirely using controls available under Server Settings > Web Presence .

Community members can also control if their messages appear on the Server Web Page through User Settings > Data and Privacy .

The December rollout will be gradual, and Discord says messages posted before the release date will be excluded.
